There was a Willet at Owen Point, at Presqu'ile Provincial Park, this morning [Friday, May 2], from at least 0810 to 0825. It was mainly at the extreme tip of Owen Point, while occasionally wandering 50 meters north along the beach, before returning to Owen Point.
Presqu'ile PP is a large provincial park south of Brighton, ON, extending, as a peninsula, into Lake Ontario. Owen Point is at the southwestern corner of the park. There is a parking lot for the Owen Point Trail on the west side of the entrance road, marked by a sign. Joe Bartl -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition. Several of us were able to relocate the bird. Directions: Take Highway 6 north up the Bruce Peninsula. Turn left (west) on Warner Bay Road, which is just before the town of Tobermory. Drive a couple km to the hard bend in the road. The bird was foraging in the ponds in this vicinity. Happy birding! Ethan Meleg Tobermory -
