White-crowned Sparrow, Baltimore Oriole, Ruby-throated Hummingbird, Bank and
Cliff Swallows, Spotted Sandpiper, Caspian Tern, Northern Waterthrush,

air with their cheery warble this morning. Warblers are finally arriving in
larger numbers.

Thrush has not been observed since my last report.

The first House Finch broods have fledged, Eastern Bluebirds have nestlings,
Robins are sitting on eggs, 59 Great Egrets are on eggs on Chantry Island,
Canada Geese are parading their downy babies, Swallows are building nests all
over the place.

The International Piping Plover survey is coming up June 3-16. If anyone would
like to help in Bruce region, please contact me.

I just received a call that there are 11 American Pelicans south of Red Bay on
Lake Huron. They were observed swimming and flying over the islands offshore.
They were moving south at the time of the sighting so check the water from
Oliphant north.

Good birding,
Cindy
