JUne 21/06

Today I checked again and have found a pair of Yellow-throated Vireos on =
territory along Hochreiter Rd. north of Newmarket, Ont. As well, there =
is a N. Mockingbird which has set up residence along Bernhardt Rd. in =
the Holland Marsh off Dufferin St.and seems likely to be nesting since =
it has been there for a month at least. Also a note on some intriguing =
Chickadee behaviour. I had parked close to where Bathurst and Hwy. 11 =
intersect south of Bradford. Suddenly I heard a thump and watched as a =
Black-capped Chickadee started to attack its reflection in my passenger =
side mirror. It the perched on the mirror and flew away. Then it =
returned and attacked "itself" again. This same scene happened once =
more and then the bird departed. I have seen birds "fight " their =
reflections before, but in a car mirror??

Tuesday morning about 11:00 am I observed a great white egret in the =
Humber
River in Toronto=92s west end. It was seen from the trail on the north =
side of
the river just west of the intersection of Scarlett Rd and Eglinton. =
Access
to the trail is from James Gardens .The entrance is off Edenbridge Dr ,
about I =BD k=94s west of Scarlett Rd. Walk to the path at the river=92s =
edge and
turn left.
