On August 1, I found a female CONNECTICUT WARBLER approx. 2 km east of the
Village of Val Gagne. The bird was not singing, nor calling and was located
in a shrubby area near a bog. It came out for approx. 1 minute when I
piched, then it disappeared in nearby bushes. I tried to relocate the bird
over the next 5 days without success.

In the immediate area were fledged families of both Kestrels and Merlins.

Val Gagne is a small village located off Highway 11 (near Iroquois Falls),
between Kirkland Lake and Cochrane. For additional details on the exact
location of the bird please contact me directly.

Sorry if I did not post this sighting before; I did not have access to the
internet while I was away.
