Hello,
Another bird found on the Bird Protection Quebec field trip in the
Casselman area of Prescott-Russell County on Dec 9th was a Belted
Kingfisher on the South Nation River, found first by Betsy McFarlane and
later seen by me in the same area as the Great Blue Heron reported by
Jacques Bouvier. (See his posting for directions.)
Or, exit Highway 417 at Exit 66 and proceed north through Casselman on
rue Principale until you cross the bridge over the South Nation. Take
the first right and park by the river and scan the trees along the shore
downstream.
