Today at appoximately 5:30 p.m., Rob Dobos, Barry Cherriere and I had 2
Sabine's Gulls mixed in with 6 Black Terns at a distance at Lakeland Centre,
VanWagners Beach Hamilton. The birds were viewed on and off for about a
half hour. There were also at least 2 Jaegers seen at a distance, too far
to identify species. East winds are supposed to continue tomorrow making
conditions good for the lake watch.

Directions: To reach Van Wagners Beach, take the Centennial Parkway (Hwy.
20) exit from the QEW in east Hamilton and proceed north to the North
Service Rd., turn left and continue west as it turns into Van Wagners Road.
Continue to the parking lots at either Hutch's Restaurant or the Lakeland
Centre viewing tower and view the lake anywhere near here.

Cheers,
Cheryl Edgecombe
