The Sandhill Cranes were still in the harvested field on Milton Road today
about 2pm. Initially there were 8 birds in the far (northwest) corner of
the field on the left side of Milton just past Perrault Road. They were
soon joined by about 20 more Cranes that flew in from the east. We also saw
several Northern Harriers in this area.

Directions: From Ottawa take Hwy. 417 east to exit 96 (Boundary Road). Turn
left (north) on Boundary Road and continue about 2 km to Russell Road. Turn
right on Russell and go 3.5 km to Milton Road (at the first stop sign).
Turn left on Milton and go north about 2 km to Perrault Road (a small dirt
road on your right). The cranes were in the field on the west side near the
northwest corner.
