Hi Ontbirders,
This morning, Oct 31, there were still two Eared Grebes at Alfred Lagoons,
mixed in with the Ruddy Ducks.
Also some Horned Larks were in the fields nearby and Snow Buntings on the
way back to Ottawa.
Directions:
From Ottawa, take Highway 17 east along the south side of the Ottawa River
for about 50 minutes until you reach the town of Alfred. On the east side of
town, take Peat Moss Road south for about a kilometre and watch for the
sewage lagoon dike on the left hand side. The observation tower can be seen
on the east side and there is a small parking lot from which you take a
short path to the observation tower.
