This morning there was a Western Tanager in the woodlot of the LPBO at Old Cut.
The bird was seen fleetingly at 9:15 and then refound again around 10:30. It
was seen by myself, Fergus Nicoll & 2 banders. Despite repeated searching it
could not be found again. It may hang around this area as it was seen eating
the wild grapes at the top of the trees.

The Long Point Bird Observatory is located on Old Cut Blvd. Follow Highway 59
south to Long Point & continue east along the lake front til you reach Old Cut
Blvd. Turn left on Old Cut & the LPBO is located on the right hand side (about
5 houses) & is well marked.
