I just returned from a short trip to Port Rowan & while I was parked on the
edge of Front Road (Rd. 42 just west of highway 59) flock after flock of
sandhill cranes flew north over my car (they were coming out of the Big Creek
marsh).

Driving north on Highway #59 midway between Conc. A & Conc Rd. #1, I found a
large flock of cranes in the rubble of a soybean field on the west side. There
were at least 150 cranes but it was very difficult to count them as they were
tightly bunched & small groups kept flying in & joining the large group. I'm
sure there are more flocks further west on Rd. 42 but I didn't go to check.
