Good day all. This is a very late posting but I thought that some of you Grosbeak challenged birders may want to try for these birds.
On Saturday ( Jan. 12th ) Ian Cannell and I among other places drove along County Road 6 northeast of Peterborough and Lakefield and between 4th Line Road N. Dummer and 8th Line Road N. Dummer we found 2 houses with feeders and at these feeders we found 14 Evening and 27 Pine Grosbeaks along with 100+ Common Redpolls, Pine Siskins and Common Ravens. These houses are on the south side of the road. If you are lucky ( we weren't ) you may also come up with Hoary Redpolls and Bohemian Waxwings. Good Luck Norm Murr Richmond Hill, ON "Sils mordent, mords les" _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
