Shawn Billerman just called again (3:35 p.m. EST) to report that the Ross's Gull just took off from the upstream parking lot at Goat Island and headed west (downstream) over the island back towards the actual falls. In case there is any confusion this is also the lot labeled as the "Three Sisters Parking Lot" by Joe Mitchell where he saw the bird sitting amongst RBGUs on Monday as well. To avoid confusion with the small parking spaces just north of the Three Sisters Islands, we should probably label this lot at the "upstream lot." Also remember that Goat Island generally "runs" East-West as does the Niagara River just above the falls, thus "downstream" and "upstream" are probably less confusing terms to use to describe where the bird is in relation to other landmarks, ect.
