Ontbirders : Apologies to the 2 gentlemen who were unable to access the lagoons today. I went immediately to the lagoons and was easily able to unlock the gate. I suspect the lock didn't dare give an old schoolmarm any trouble ! We just put in the new lock this past Friday. Or perhaps the problem was that in an earlier posting, I neglected to stress that we ONLY have entry through the small gate--by combination lock. All large gates have padlocks requiring keys, for maintenance personnel.
Wilson's Phalaropes were still there. Thank you to the persons noting that the birds were using a small field puddle near the building cells.
