I saw an immature Black-crowned Night Heron, a Green Heron and 5 Great Blue
Herons this morning. In the largest cell there were scores of Killdeer, Lesser
Yellowleg and Least Sandpiper. There were smaller numbers of Greater
Yellowlegs, a few Pectoral and Solitary Sandpiper, and a single Short-billed
Dowitcher. In the first cell was a Ruddy Duck and 2 Blue-wing Teal.

There is construction going on at the wetlands but you can stay out of the way
by walking along the north side beside the treatment plant and then along the
east side to the largest cell.

West Perth Wetlands is in Mitchell, 20 km west of Stratford. From Ontario
Street (Hwy 8) travel south on Wellington Street to the parking lot.
