Light and variable winds early in the day gave way to light southeast winds by mid morning. Raptor Observations: Non-raptor Observations: The usual number of early season non-raptor migrants were in evidence today, particularly Purple Martin and Northern Rough-winged Swallow. Bobolinks were numerous in the early morning hours. Monarchs and hummingbirds were perhaps a bit less numerous than they are typically in early September.
