Thanks a bunch. Weather: Temp 20.4>24.8 C, Wind S & SSE Less than 4 mph, Barometer steady 30.4 in Hg, High cirrus clouds gave a welcomed white blanket backdrop over much of the sky with cover 90%-50%. This white would help see more birds higher up and not get lost as they do in the total blue sky. Unfortunately few raptor we up high to count. Raptor Observations: Birds were in flurries of small groups of sharpies to single kestrels, eagles, PG, ML, and BW. Everyone enjoyed the show and learned how to pick out a sharp-shinned hawk. Non-raptor Observations: Very few passerines. I think they have been moving a night since there has been a full moon and clear skies with north winds. But Holiday Beach Conservation Area is a good feeding and resting place. Predictions: SW to WSW winds. Nice day for a festival of hawks.
