Greetings ONTBirders: This afternoon I found a single GREAT EGRET at the large quarry pond off of Earl Armstrong Road in Gloucester. The bird was associated with several hundred CANADA GEESE and another single GREAT BLUE HERON.
On Bowesville Road, a RED-TAILED HAWK provided excellent views perching on one of the fence posts along the roadside. Along the airport-side of Leitrim Road there was a dark-morph ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK being antagonized by a female NORTHERN HARRIER in the large field near the intersection of Leitrim and Limebank Roads. Good birding! Pat Directions: (courtesy NeilyWorld) From Highway 417 (The Queensway) take exit 121A (Bronson Avenue).
