An unbelievable sight (for me). Just now at 11:300 AM, a flock of 30+ sandhill vocalizing cranes flying in a huge V formation at about 500 meters altitude, passed overhead as I was raking leaves in Brampton, Ontario (Queen/ Maclaughlin Sts). They are heading west. They took some time, approximately above the intersection of Mississauga Road and Queen Street West, to circle and gain altitude and begin a soaring rather than active flying. I would predict that they may follow a west -southwest course... maybe towards Longpoint?
