Sorry for the really late posting folks- I actually just forgot to post this sighting! Anyway, the aforementioned owl was sighted on the Monck Road (County Rd. 45) at 2 PM on Tuesday, December 9. It was perched at the top of a tree on the north side of the road, just east of Sideroad 15.
Go east on Hwy 12 from Orillia, turn north on Rama Rd. then turn east at the stoplights (the Monck Road, #45). Good luck.
