On December 29th the Kincardine CBC was held for the 25th time. 24 observers found 54 species which is average over the years. Individual birds found were 6056 and is well below average. The weather cooperated but the high winds and local flooding from the day before seemed to have affected the numbers of birds observed. Three new species for our count were 13 Ravens, 2 Northern Pintail and 6 Lesser Scaup.
A Rufous-sided Towhee was spotted during Count Week.

New high numbers include:
Northern Shoveler 1 (tied)
Winter Wren 2
White-winged Crossbill 204

Very low numbers of the following were observed:
Tree Soarrow 0
Herring Gull 1165
Rock Pigeon 202
Morning Dove 29
Downy Woodpecker 17
Hairy Woodpecker 3
White-breasted Nuthatch 6
Dark-eyed Junco 29

Thanks to all the volunteers again this year
