Yesterday at about 3:45 P.M. I observed and photographed the Ross's Goose in a field just north of Flewellyn Rd. 3 fields west of Eagleson Rd. It was with several hundred Canadas. A short time later it took off with 4 Canada Geese and flew south-west past Shea Side Rd. I could not relocate it.
This goose covers a wide area from Moodie Drive west and to the north of the town Richmond. It does not seem to have any preferred fields. Directions to Moodie Drive and the area mentioned has been posted many times. _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
