Gusty northeast winds kept migrants at bay, although there was still a nice variety of
species recorded in small numbers. Warblers on the day included NORTHERN PARULA, PINE, MAGNOLIA, OVENBIRD, and NORTHERN WATERTHRUSH, among others. A WHIP-POOR-WILL was heard singing this-morning at the East Park campground and a SUMMER TANAGER was observed at Fish Point. The highlight of the day was a LARK SPARROW noted at the tip at Fish Point. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pelee Island Heritage Centre West Dock, Pelee Island, Ontario, N0R 1M0(519) 724-2291 "pimuseum" <pimuseum at hotmail.com> The Heritage Centre is open from 10 am - 5 pm daily.
