Friends of Point Pelee provide guided birding hikes throughout the Festival
of Birds at Point Pelee National Park of Canada. Proceeds from hikes support
the Friends of Point Pelee and Point Pelee National Park. This submitted
report is a service of the FoPP Hike Leaders.

A male SUMMER TANAGER was seen at the tip again this morning.



Woodland Trail and Tilden’s Woods continue to produce various species of
warblers, including CERULEAN WARBLER, HOODED WARBLER, CAPE MAY WARBLER,
BAY-BREASTED WARBLER and NORTHERN PARULA.



A YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT was observed along Ander’s Footpath.



A BLACKPOLL WARBLER and BLUE-WINGED WARBLER were observed this morning along
Shuster Trail, along with two RUSTY BLACKBIRDS (flyover).  Occasional PINE
SISKINS continue to be observed sporadically.



Two EASTERN SCREECH-OWLS continue to be observed. One can be seen along the
western side of Woodland Trail, and the other along the main road between
the halfway stop and the Visitor Centre along the east side of the road.



At Hillman Marsh shorebird cell, DUNLIN, SHORT-BILLED DOWITCHER, RUDDY
TURNSTONE and BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER continue to be seen.



A GLOSSY IBIS was seen yesterday at Hillman Marsh, along with an unexpected
male PROTHONOTARY WARBLER.
