Wednesday May 13,

Another movement of birds into the Park. New migrants, especially warblers
have been located in a variety of places in the Park.

At the tip, an *American Pipit* was flying about and actually landed in a
tree for a while.

Also noted at the Tip, *Northern Parula, Orange-crowned and Wilson’s
Warblers*.

Along the West Beach, north of the Tip, a couple of *Clay-colored
Sparrows*were noted, as well as a
*Yellow-breasted Chat*.

The place to be for warbler hunting was Tilden Woods. *Kentucky, Cerulean,
Bay-breasted, Hooded* and a host of others were reported. Also noted were
Scarlet Tanager, Indigo Bunting, and many orioles, among other species.

I have heard few reports from the Woodland Nature trail but know that at
least one *Canada Warbler* was seen there. Down the Post Woods Seasonal
Trail a pair of *Red-headed Woodpeckers* were seen.

Just in, a *Mourning Warbler* was located at Sleepy Hollow.

At least one *Summer Tanager* was located this morning at the Sanctuary
Picnic area (park at Northwest Beach)

Good Birding,
