At 0909EDT the Am. Avocet from Pringle Creek, Whitby, flew low westward over the Cranberry Marsh Raptor Watch. Then, at 0950EDT Charlie Adey reported it from Rotary Marsh in Ajax--it had been there 2 days ago.
Access the 401 at exit 401 (Westney Rd.), south 2km. to Lake Driveway; turn right/west, following the road to an overview point--drive your car down to a canoe launch--- look out onto the water. The bird was actively feeding today.
