There were a few warblers in the TJ Dolan Natural Area this morning.  The birds 
were concentrated in the damp thickets along the Avon River . I saw

 

Tennessee Warbler 1

Nashville Warbler    1

Chestnut-sided Warbler   2

Black-throated Green Warbler 1

American Redstart  3

Wilson's Warbler 2

 

Other species seen include Eastern Wood Pewee(1), Red-Eyed Vireo(3), 
Black-crowned Night Heron(1) and Ruby-throated Hummingbird(5).

Stratford

 

The TJ Dolan Natural Area is in south-west Stratford.  There is a parking lot 
at John St.and Center St. that has a map of the area.  There are trails on both 
sides of the Avon.
