Birded beaches 1 - 4 this am for a few hours and was lucky enough to see the elusive Whimbrel on beach 3 lookout just before the Owen Trail starts. Other shorebirds seen: least sandpiper; semipalmated plover and semipalmated sandpipers; lesser yellow legs; & pectoral. See link for whimbrel pic.
