The easterly component to the wind remained all morning, this not promoting
a raptor flight along the lakefront. In the 11thhour an adult BALD EAGLE, a
PEREGRINE FALCON AND A MERLIN came through low.

14 turkey vulture, 2 Osprey, 1 Bald eagle, 5 Sharp-shinned, 2 Cooper's,
11 Broad-winged, 9 Red-tailed, 3 Am.Kestrel, 1 Merlin, 1 Peregrine falcon
and 4
Unidentifieds.
Non-raptor Observations: 39 non-raptor species, incl. 6+ hummingbirds,
WATER PIPIT, Philadelphia vireo, Yellow-rumped warbler, rose-breasted
grosbeak,
2 GREAT EGRETS, common yellowthroat, catbird, cedar waxwings,
red-breasted nuthatch, SOLITARY SANDPIPER, among others.
Monarch Butterflies--10+
From the 401 eastbound, exit at Salem Rd. in Ajax, south to Bayly, then
east through LakeRidge Rd. to the first street beyond--Hall's Rd.--south
toward the lake to the second roadside parking area.
