The White Pelican is still there at Wildwood. I found him on the 29th line at the bridge looking East on a jut of a mud flat. He was sound asleep then roused himself for a stretch and to have a look around, then he folded himself back up to his sleeping position that looked like a big white stone in the mud.
Near by there was a large flock of Cedar Waxwings. At the bridge on the 31st line were a number of yellow-rump warblers and at least a dozen Great Blue Herons you could see. Direction from 401, take Oxford Rd 6 North (exit 222)through Embro, to CR 28. Go West through Herrington, turn North on the 31st Line and continue North to the bridge and have a look around lots of Killdeer...continue your search North to the next cross rd turn left next road is the 29th Line and turn left again till you get to the bridge and have another search Great Birding Rose _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
