Started at around 9:15 but even then light to medium rain started. Took some time off and went over to the Pointe Mouillee SGA to try and wait out the rain. Light rain, drizzle, and or mist came down on and off for about an hour. Went back to the Metropark at around 11:15. Raptor Observations: More light rain, drizzle, and mist came down for a few more hours. When it was not a light rain some Sharp-shinned Hawks, 1 Broad-winged Hawk and some Turkey Vultures did move. At around 2:30pm more light rain came down so left at that time. Non-raptor Observations: A nice flock/ wave of warblers came by at around 2:00-2:15pm. Most were Nashville Warblers, with a few Yellow-rumped Warblers and one Cape May Warbler. Also a few Golden-crowned Kinglets moved by. Predictions: Weather looks better for Wednesday. Will start out at the Metropark, but might have to move to PMSGA. Should be a good flight after odd weather and two days of rain....Should be!.... ======================================================================== Report submitted by Seth Cutright ([email protected]) SMRR- Lake Erie Metropark information may be found at: http://www.smrr.net/ _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
