Today, Oct 13, while birding wth John McAlpine in the afternoon, we located
a
male Black-backed Woodpecker on the Rideau Trail east of Richmond Road.
Park at Lot # 6 and follow the trail across the road for less than 1 km.
It was located about 100 m short of the junction with the trail to the Lime
Kiln
