At 0930EDT on Oct.17 Alf Adamo saw a Dickcissel from the viewing
platform--just a quick
glimpse. On that day a GLAUCOUS GULL and our first ROUGH-LEGGED
HAWKS were seen.
On the 18th we had several RUSTY BLACKBIRDS, a WILSON'S SNIPE and a
SNOW GOOSE.
On Sunday, Oct.18 we had at least 50 visitors to the platform over the
6-hour period.
Both days had good northerly winds and a rising BP, along with good
thermals.
Undoubtedly there were very high-flying raptors, out-of-view against the
blue skies.
