Yesterday, 8 December, there was a cooperative Purple Sandpiper with
two Dunlins on Gull Island at Presqu'ile Provincial Park on Lake
Ontario. Knee high rubber boots are needed to wade from Owen Point to
Gull Island. Don Shanahan went farther out to Sebastopol Point where
he saw two more Purple Sandpipers, but he had hip waders to do this.

Directions: Exit Highway 401 at Brighton and following signs to the
park. Bring exact entry fee of $10/car ($8 Seniors) for permit and
display it on your dash. Please note that Owen Point and the islands
are not accessible on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays due
to waterfowl hunting.
