Greetings! It was a beautiful, which means at this time of year cold, day. The Barnacle goose was seen nearby to 40 Mile creek and the pump house. It went west of the pump house along the shore. At one point it flew up to the house right near us. Great looking bird.
Also present were a male American wigeon, a domestic goose with a flock of Canada geese. As well as a Domestic/Canada Goose cross (a huge bird called George). There was an adult Black backed Gull and a Juvenile. Plus a smattering of Herring gulls. Getting to Grimsby: take the QEW to Christie street and go towards the lake (north). At the end of the street go right (this is Lakeside Dr.). This street ends at the pump house: turn left into the parking lot (try not to hit any birders).
