A good bird for the winter list was found at 11:00a.m. this morning when I
pished out a YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER from a dense stand of Red Cedars at the
southwestern end of Babylon Road at Prince Edward Point. Also responding to
the pishing was a BARRED OWL. Other good birds observed were 50 WHITE-WINGED
SCOTERS, 1 BALD EAGLE, 2 MERLIN, 15 AMERICAN ROBINS and 1 COMMON RAVEN. On the
Waupoos penisula out to Cressy Point there were 4 MUTE SWANS, 25 TUNDRA SWANS,
5 REDHEADS, 6 WILD TURKEYS, 1 AMERICAN COOT, 15 HORNED LARKS and 14 SNOW
BUNTINGS. The TUFTED TITMOUSE is still patronizing the feeder at Heritage Park
in Bath.
