Yesterday between noon and 2 pm I saw no snowy owls on the ground in
the fields at the north end of Bathurst or at the Ravenshoe/Yonge
locations. Just as I arrived, however, two magnificent Snowy's flew
north just over the trees at the north west end of the Bathurst
location.
Today (February 17) the Bathurst Snowy was back in the field around 2
pm and another was on top of a TV antenna of the house at the se
corner of Ravenshoe and Yonge at 2:30 pm, but had left and become
invisible when we returned from going all the way to the south end of
Yonge.
Yesterday there also was a shrike on the north side of Ravenshoe on
the telephone wires and today a male Kestrel on the West side of
Leslie just South of Ravenshoe.
