There has been a Eurasian Wigeon visible from the east platform of Cranberry Marsh in southwest Whitby, on Mar.28. It may or may not show itself. There are many Ring-necked Ducks and several Hooded Mergansers.
Park car in the Lynde Shores parking lot, then walk through the woodlot to the pathway that emerges at the south end and runs parallel to the private roadway, down toward the lake. Continue past the tower platform to a roadside platform that overlooks the wetland.
