This morning I saw 3 Tufted Titmouse within a mixed flock of chickadees, nuthatches and warblers in the TJ Dolan Area of Stratford. The birds were moving along the river about 100 m west of the main entrance on John St. It seems likely, based on the number of sightings throughout the year, that titmice are now breeding in the Stratford area. However no one has found a nest !
Migrants with them were Wilson's Warbler , Cape May Warbler, Magnolia Warbler, Black throated Green Warbler, Black and White Warbler, American Redstart, and Red-eyed Vireos. Steve Thorpe Stratford The TJ Dolan Area is in SW Stratford along the Avon River. There is a parking lot and map board at John Street and Centre Street. _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
