There was a good variety of shorebirds at West Perth Wetlands this afternoon.
In the first cell were both yellowlegs, Baird's Sandpiper, Pectoral Sandpiper,
Least Sandpiper, Spotted Sandpiper and Killdeer. About 4 PM something (a
raptor ?) put up all the shorebirds. Within a couple of minutes they all
returned along with a group of 18 American Golden Plover, most of them in worn
breeding plumage. Other birds of note included a Sora and a Pied-billed Grebe.

West Perth Wetlands is on the south side of Mitchell. From Ontario Street (Hwy
8) head south on Wellington Street to the end. Cross Frank Street and follow
the gravel to the parking lot. Most of the shorebirds are in the first cell.
