Eric Jeffrey and I spent a productive morning at West Perth Wetlands.
Highlights were Marbled Godwit, Red-necked Phalarope, and White-rumped
Sandpiper. Other shorebirds seen included Black-bellied Plover, Semipalmated
Plover, Killdeer, both yellowlegs, Pectoral Sandpiper, Stilt Sandpiper,
Semipalmated Sandpiper, Least Sandpiper, and Wilson's Snipe. A Cooper's Hawk
put the shorebirds up several times and a lone Osprey flew over. Waterfowl in
the large cell included Northern Shovellor and both teal.

West Perth Wetlands are on the south side of Mitchell. From Ontario Street (Hwy
8) travel south on Wellington Street to Frank Street. Cross the road and
travel the gravel to the parking lot. Most of the shorebirds are in the first
cell.
