The heron was still present at 3:30 in the same area noted below. The bird
moved about somewhat but remained in the trees. At one point it was low, at
cattail level, so it was harder to spot but could be seen by checking
different vantage points around the pond. This is an egret roost so if the
bird remains it will be joined by Great Egrets towards dusk.

[Ontbirds] Little Blue Heron in

Hi all,
At 12h30, this afternoon, I located the immature (all white) Little Blue
Heron that Paul Schoening had discovered yesterday evening.
DIRECTIONS
>From Highway 401, West of Cornwall, take Moulinette Road from exit 778.
Go
south and then turn left (east) on HWY 2 (Vincent Massey Dr.) Then turn
left
(north) on Richmond Road. A short distance away just before the railway
tracks you will notice a marsh/swamp on your left. Park in front of the
rock (gravel) pile on the left (west) hand side of the road (parking is
limited). I saw the heron from this rock pile; it was perched in a dead
tree
on the opposite side of the wetlands. Good luck!!
