A morning walk around West Perth Wetlands was quite productive. I saw 6
species of shorebirds - Black-bellied Plover (15), Killdeer (12+), Greater
Yellowlegs (15+), Lesser Yellowlegs (10+), Dunlin (25+) and Pectoral
Sandpiper(2).

Among the rafts of Mallard and Canada Goose were lots of Green-Wing Teal and
good numbers of Northern Pintail, Northern Shoveller, American Black Duck,
Ruddy Duck, a few Bufflehead and Lesser Scaup, and a Mute Swan.

In the weeds and on the mud were American Pipit, Horned Lark, American Tree
Sparrow, Song Sparrow, White Crowned Sparrow, and American Goldfinch.
