A female Red-bellied Woodpecker has been seen at Riverwood in various locations 
the past three days.  Today it was seen from the patio at the back of MacEwan 
Field Station and also along the trails in the valley.

Directions to Riverwood by car: From Hwy 403 take the Mavis Road Exit. Go south 
on Mavis Road to Burnhamthorpe Road West and turn right. Take Burnhamthorpe 
Road to the traffic lights at intersection with The Credit Woodlands (south of 
Burnhamthorpe) and Riverwood Park Lane (north of Burnhamthorpe).Turn north onto 
Riverwood Park Lane. Park (free) in the paved main parking lot which you will 
see on your left. (For additional directions please see

Transit: Erindale GO Station is within easy walking distance of Riverwood. 
There is a City of Mississauga bus stop at the intersection of Riverwood Park 
Lane and Burnhamthorpe Road West.
