Hello Friends. A note to let you know that the dark phase GYRFALCON is still on K.Pt.
It is very hard to find if it is perched among the rocks and vegetation. It has been seen well during the early part of the morning and until about 11am. when it seems to settle for the afternoon. There are now increasing numbers of COMMON MERGANSERS flying with Red-brests and Hoodies. The local Bald Eagles sometimes put on a show of hunting skills. Good Birding. Alf. Kettle Point is situated north of Forest off Highway 21 where it joins the Lakeshore Rd.
