There is an immature Sharp-shinned hawk (I think) feeding on a Flicker (late
November?), or possibly a Kestrel, its difficult to tell when its just a
mass of feathers, at the edge of my lawn west of Waterdown. The hawk
dragged the bird which is not much smaller than itself over to the edge of
the grass, trying to get it into some cover, but it seems to have got hung
up in the longer grass at the edge of the lawn. It has been feeding there
for about half an hour and seems to be in no hurry to leave.

The bird is on the east side of of the property at 545 4th Con. W. in
Flamborough. This is west of Hwy 6, North of Hwy 5, NW of Clappison's
Corners between Millgrove side road and Ofield Rd. N
