Just finished reading Dave Milsom's report on the Painted Bunting at James Turlands home with his son Simon providing us with the view from a window inside where it was warm to view the feeder and its many birds. The bird was feeding on mostly white millet. I enjoyed it so much that after not being successful in finding the Barnacle Goose in Port Elgin (see Dave Milsom's report) behind the Independant Store on the North end of town...I went back for a second viewing. Thank-you once again Simon and James. I also forgot to mention in Snow Goose report for Goderich I had a Bald Eagle on the shore line bluff at the beach. Kincardine is on the shores of Lake Huron where Hwy 9 & 21 cross. Head north through Kincardine till you get to Broadway (lights) turn left and go till you get to Queens St, turn right and head north towards hospital (sign at Braodway and Queens for hospital),the address is 28 Queens St North which is on your left, just on the edge of town. You can park in the drive way and go to the left side of the house to the back door as his parents live upstairs. Come quietly because the feeders are close to the house. Can view from inside see Nov 26 to email ahead as it would be appreciated.
