Allan Symons of Deep River ON has been having an unusual visitor at his
feeder. I saw the bird on Saturday at ~16:00 when light was fading- it
was very tame and allowed me to take numerous photos. I attach two. My
identification is of a Summer Tanager, very similar to the one at the
Cotnams in Deep River several years ago. Allan is at 20 LeCaron
(613-584-2657) when not at the Canadian Clock Museum (613-584-9687),
which he operates. He is happy to accept visitors at the feeder in his
back yard. ( I am the local CBC organizer/compiler.)
