Greetings! After several misses in Carden and Balsam - it was nice to see about 40 to 60 Redpolls flying around the trees at the Arboretum today. They are in the Aspens (?) on the left of the path - just as you go in. That is, when they are not flying about chittering away.
The Arboretum is behind Humber College at Finch and Humber College Blvd. To get there go to the 427 and exit at Finch. Go east (two lights) and turn right onto Humber College Blvd. Take your second entrance and visit the nice man in the parking kiosk. If you go after three thirty just go to the back of the building and park in lot 1. The building in the Arboretum houses the Centre for Urban Ecology and you can ask about other bird sightings.
