Several birders have now seen the adult Mew Gull just off the parking lot at
the northwest corner of Cobourg harbour, found earlier today, March 23, by
Sarah Petrasek.
It stands on the beach from time to time or swims a few metres into the
water.
Mantle colour very little darker than the nearby, bigger, Ring-billeds, neat
small yellow bill and dark eye, big white tertial crescent. Still there at
12.30.
Not the same bird as the darker-mantled Mew Gull in the harbour in
mid-February!

Directions:
Exit 474 from Hwy 401 and south on Division Street to the harbour. Drive
round the harbour to the west parking lot.
