This morning (Sunday) I spotted a mature Green Heron among the reeds at the eastern end of the pond at Port Hope's Lake St. (Sculthorpe) marsh. To reach the marsh exit the 401 at interchange 464 and go south on Ontario St. to Hope St.. Hope St. is the second street on the left after the fire station. Continue south to the lake and then left on to Lake St. to the marsh's parking lot.
